CFIT Technician

VikingGenetics are developing a 3D camera-based solution to make individual feed intake records on cows in commercial farms and we are looking for the right person to do data surveillance and have contact to the farmers with the installed equipment.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Data handling including validation and organization of data
  • Data base administration and quality control of data coming in from various sensor based technologies including “Cattle Feed Intake – CFIT”
  • Data extraction of various kinds from data bases
  • Day to day contact with farmers including follow up on procedures, installing and maintaining equipment
  • Contribute in future projects on precision livestock farming

  • You will mainly work together with colleagues from R&D but also external and internal partners. The main office is in Assentoft, close to Randers.

Your qualifications:

  • Experienced agricultural technician within development, construction, and installation of technical equipment
  • Interest and competences in precision livestock farming including sensor-based registrations and image analysis
  • Data handling within systems such as MY-SQL, MS-SQL or similar
  • Social skills and ability to handle cultural differences, internally and externally
  • First class communication skills, able to operate professionally and effectively at all levels
  • English language at fluent level – oral and written
  • You must expect some travel activities
  • Driver’s license
